DGL Synergy™ is a fast-acting, chewable formula of
deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL) that offers support for
healthy digestion and normal stomach acids. It contains a
standardized high-quality form of DGL, the amino acid
glycine, and calcium in the form of calcium
glycerophosphate. DGL Synergy™ has a pleasant licorice
flavour, is fructose free, and has zero grams of sugar. It is
sweetened with xylitol, mannitol, and the luo han guo
plant extract. Licorice has been well-studied for its ability
to support the lining of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It
helps to support the body’s natural inflammatory
response to various foods or medications and, therefore,
maintains the protective barrier of the GI tract.
Licorice is called a mucilaginous herb, which means it
helps produce a soothing coat on the throat, stomach,
and intestines. This can help calm the throat from any
irritating effects of occasional stomach acid and promotes the health of the entire GI tract. It also
supports the body’s mucus-producing cells. In addition,
DGL helps to maintain a healthy bacterial environment in
the stomach. Deglycyrrhizinated licorice does not
contain the naturally occurring compound, glycyrrhizin.
In some individuals, glycyrrhizin has been associated
with negative side effects on blood pressure. These
negative side effects are eliminated when the
glycyrrhizin is removed.
DGL Synergy™ also contains glycine and calcium to
further support healthy digestion. Glycine is an amino
acid required for the production of bile that helps to
digest dietary fats. It is also a precursor to the
antioxidant glutathione, which helps support a healthy
GI tract and aids healthy digestion. Calcium (as calcium
glycerophosphate) aids in promoting a healthy balance
of acid throughout the GI tract.

Recommended Dose
Adults: Take 1 tablet 3 times per day. Chew between meals
or 20 minutes before meals. Take a few hours before or
