The glycinate form of magnesium is a highly bioavailable magnesium chelate supporting the metabolism and utilization of this essential mineral. Magnesium glycinate is also less likely to cause loose stools than other forms of magnesium and can be absorbed independent of stomach acid conditions.

Magnesium increases the utilization of other minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, sodium, and potassium as well as vitamins B (complex), C and E.  Magnesium is a supporting factor in proper ATP (energy) production and storage and involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids and fats.  It activates enzymes necessary for a number of physiological functions, including regulation of neurotransmitter and hormone activity, relaxation of both voluntary and involuntary muscle, cardiac function and the regulation of body pH.
